PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Paterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Goldberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paterson comes into the arena with Guerilla Radio by Rage Against The Machine blaring out of the sound system. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paterson looking to score a takedown here. Goldberg is defending well but Paterson drives through and ends up in Goldberg's guard.
Goldberg looking for a sweep. Not yet Goldberg, not yet.

Paterson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Paterson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Paterson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Goldberg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Paterson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Paterson drops back looking for a leg! Goldberg is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Goldberg manages to kick Paterson off! Paterson jumps back into Goldberg's guard.
Paterson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Paterson passes Goldberg's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Goldberg is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Paterson has latched onto it... Big trouble! Paterson pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Goldberg is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Paterson!
