Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis cracks Volkhov with a good jab.
Davis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Volkhov doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Davis counters with a stiff right hand.

so Davis counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Davis cracks Volkhov with a solid left hand.
Davis lands a couple of elbows.
Volkhov wants to sweep here but Davis controlling him for the moment.
Davis is looking to work some ground and pound but Volkhov has wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davis is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Volkhov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Davis shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Volkhov's guard.
