Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Ryder! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marty Demko! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryder throws an off balance right hand
and Ryder takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ryder misses with a hook
and Demko counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Ryder misses with an uppercut
and Demko counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Demko fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ryder manages to avoid it. Ryder throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Ryder takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ryder swings widly with a right hand
and Demko counters with a lovely straight right hand! Ryder throws a lazy uppercut
and Demko counters with a stiff right hand. Donk. Demko catches Ryder right on the button with a cross. Ryder swings widly with a right hand
and Demko counters with a lovely straight right hand! Demko cracks Ryder with a right hand to the side of the head. A jab lands there for Ryder. Demko throws a series of strikes that have Ryder backpedaling.
Ryder is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ryder misses with a right hand and Demko counters with a one-two to the body. Oh Ryder is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ryder throws a lazy uppercut

and Demko counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Ryder seems to have got his legs back now. Ryder is breathing heavily. Ryder throws an off balance right hand
and Demko makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Demko throws a series of strikes that have Ryder backpedaling.

That's one minute gone in the round. Demko lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ryder backs up against the cage.
Ryder takes a shot right to the bread basket. Demko lands a two punch combo.
Demko fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Ryder takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Ryder takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Demko shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ryder eats them both and turns towards Demko to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Jack Ryder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Demko scores with a hook to the body. Ryder takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Ryder takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Demko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ryder moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Demko scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Demko closes the distance and lands a one-two. Demko goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Demko lands with a nice body punch. Ryder misses with a left hand and Demko counters with a stiff right hand. Demko scores with a body shot.
Demko catches Ryder with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Demko is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ryder had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Demko fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ryder looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Demko scores with a punch to the head. Demko smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Demko throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ryder takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Demko with a body punch. A glancing blow. Ryder drops his hands momentarily and Demko takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Demko lands a nice hook to Ryder's body. Ryder takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Ryder takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Ryder is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Demko displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Ryder misses with a lunging right hand
letting Demko counter with a right hand. Demko tries to bum rush Ryder with a series of wild strikes but Ryder uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Demko dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Ryder is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Demko moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Ryder showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Demko.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Demko closes the distance and lands a one-two. Ryder really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Ryder swings widly with a right hand
and Demko counters with a series of strikes. Ryder will be more careful next time no doubt. Demko lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Jab, jab by Demko - just one landing. Demko works the jab nicely. Demko throws a nice looking combination but Ryder bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Demko lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Demko shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ryder's guard. Demko is looking to stand up but Ryder won't let him. Demko is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Demko throws a strike but Ryder rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ryder lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Demko preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Ryder with a flurry of punches that miss. Demko is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Ryder landing some decent shots from guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ryder postures up and lands a big shot to Demko's brow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marty Demko dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
No joy there for Demko, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Demko tries to score with some ground and pound. Ryder controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Demko in side control, throwing shots but Ryder defends.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Demko postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Ryder prevents Demko from moving into mount. Demko in side control, throwing shots but Ryder defends. Demko misses with the ground and pound. Demko controls the position from side control. Demko tries to score with some ground and pound. Ryder controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Demko wants to stand but Ryder has his arm trapped. Demko staying calm. Demko tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Demko working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Demko tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marty Demko showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Ryder misses with a right hand and Demko counters with a lovely straight right hand! Demko shoots in from a long way out. Ryder loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ryder throws a big right hand that misses. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ryder accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Demko controlling the position. Ryder thows a big elbow that misses. Ryder working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Demko's head. Ryder postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Ryder lands a couple of elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Demko wants to stand but Ryder is controlling the position. Demko is trying to control the position but Ryder postures up. Ryder postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Demko working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Ryder. Ryder trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ryder working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Demko's head. Demko has momentary wrist control but Ryder slips an elbow through the middle. Demko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ryder. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ryder throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Ryder trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Ryder with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ryder is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Demko preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Ryder working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Demko wants to stand but Ryder is controlling the position. Demko tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ryder in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Demko is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Demko trying to control the position.
Jack Ryder has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Marty Demko is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Ryder makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Marty Demko comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Demko has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
