Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eiji Kawashima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Cristo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jerry Cristo is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eiji Kawashima!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jerry Cristo!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kawashima misses the shot to the body.
Cristo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Kawashima pivots, looking for a leg kick but Cristo is out of range and Kawashima settles back down.
Kawashima digs a good body shot into Cristo's ribs.

Cristo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kawashima lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kawashima, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
