The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzalez jabs Kingston to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Kingston is looking to clinch but Gonzalez is avoiding it.
Gonzalez throws a combination that misses
and Kingston counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kingston tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gonzalez swivels and escapes.

Kingston looks for a takedown but Gonzalez sprawls well.

and Kingston counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kingston.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kingston stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gonzalez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kingston postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Kingston is looking to work some ground and pound but Gonzalez has wrist control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gonzalez can do anything to dispel that myth.

Gonzalez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kingston is controlling him.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kingston moves in looking to clinch but Gonzalez pushes him off.
Gonzalez dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Gonzalez takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Horrible takedown by Kingston or perhaps it was just good defense by Gonzalez which made him look bad.
Kingston keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kingston moves out of range as Gonzalez strikes.
Kingston throws a series of punches but Gonzalez avoids them all with ease.

Kingston misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kingston scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.


It looks like Anthony Gonzalez has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kingston fails with an attempt to clinch.
Gonzalez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kingston was well out of range. Poor timing from Gonzalez.

Gonzalez has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

and Kingston counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Gonzalez falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!
