Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Stackstein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, The Beast!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gary Stackstein!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Robert Twigg and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stackstein fails with the takedown

and Beast counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Stackstein's guard now.
Beast has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Beast chips away with some ground and pound.
Stackstein preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Beast trying to control but Stackstein is working from the bottom.

Stackstein has his foot on Beast's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Beast works his way back into a safe position though.

Stackstein wants to stand but Beast has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Beast utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Beast knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stackstein on the ground.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Stackstein fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Beast sprawls well initially but Stackstein persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Beast is not content to let Stackstein control the position.
Stackstein winds up and cracks Beast with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Stackstein is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Beast doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stackstein.

Stackstein wants to control but Beast is keeping him busy.
Beast is looking to get back to is feet but Stackstein passes into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stackstein wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Beast, who protects the arm well.

Stackstein misses with a takedown attempt

and Beast counters with a shoot takedown. Stackstein fights it but they end up in guard.

Beast trying to control the position from guard on top but Stackstein is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Stackstein seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Gary Stackstein.
Beast fails with the takedown

and Stackstein moves into the clinch.
Stackstein is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Beast pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Stackstein manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Beast manages to get himself to full guard.

Beast on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Beast tries to get out of the position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Gary Stackstein wasn't active enough on the ground.
Stackstein has his takedown stuffed

and Beast counters with a shoot takedown. Stackstein fights it but they end up in guard.
The Beast has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gary Stackstein.

Stackstein is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Beast is controlling him.
The Beast overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Beast postures up.
Beast trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Beast throws a strike but Stackstein rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Stackstein is pushing down on Beast's leg trying to pass to half guard. Beast is fighting to maintain full guard but Stackstein has managed to sneak the leg through.
Stackstein takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Stackstein thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Beast's head.
Ground and pound from Stackstein.
Beast avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Stackstein.
Beast is trying to get back to full guard.
Stackstein wants to take a breather but Beast is having none of it.
Stackstein moves into full mount! Beast won't be happy about that!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Beast doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Stackstein counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Beast!
Stackstein looking to control but Beast is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Stackstein lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
You get the feeling that Beast really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Stackstein lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Stackstein with shots to the head and body - Beast looks very uncomfortable down there.
Stackstein lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Beast is in a horrible position here. Stackstein smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Stackstein cracks Beast with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Stackstein can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Beast is looking to escape.
Stackstein sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Stackstein has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The referee warns Beast that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
