The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Umpilumpio darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Umpilumpio wants to pass to mount but green is defending the position.
Still in half guard, Umpilumpio seems content to control.

Umpilumpio is looking to take a break and control but green is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
With the fighters up against the cage, green throws an elbow but misses.
green really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
green wants to break free but Umpilumpio has control.

green breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Umpilumpio shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Umpilumpio showed some decent athleticism there.

Umpilumpio is trying to control the action in half guard but green is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

and Umpilumpio counters with a shoot takedown. green fights it but they end up in guard.
Umpilumpio is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! green is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! green has escaped and now he's on top!
Umpilumpio had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. green is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Umpilumpio Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take green's back instead.

green is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

green covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Umpilumpio has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for green! Can he survive? No! He's out! Umpilumpio gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
