Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Zizzmen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joey Zizzmen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Travis Wood! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zizzmen throws a series of punches but Wood moves out of range. Zizzmen throws a shot from downtown. Wood moves away and avoids it. A big right from Wood misses. Zizzmen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Zizzmen lands a hook to the side of the head. Zizzmen throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Woods head. Zizzmen lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Zizzmen lands a right hand.
Wood is rocked! Wood drops down looking for an ankle pick but Zizzmen pulls his leg out and moves away.
Wood is still on wobbly legs! Can Zizzmen finish him? Zizzmen misses with an uppercut. Wood saw that one coming. Zizzmen takes a swing at Wood's ribcage but misses. Wood seems to have recovered his senses. Zizzmen throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Zizzmen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Wood blocks a jab. Wood scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Zizzmen lands a nice looking body shot.
Zizzmen misses with a jab, cross combination.
Wood fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wood misses with a looping right.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zizzmen misses with a right hand and Wood counters with a left and a right that stings Zizzmen. Zizzmen scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Zizzmen throws an overhand right that lands on Wood's shoulder, as Wood tries to avoid the shot. Wood lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Zizzmen bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Zizzmen misses with a hook. Wood slow jab from Zizzmen misses its intended target. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Zizzmen!

The fighters circling - Zizzmen throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Wood misses with a looping left. Wood rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Zizzmen moves out of range and avoids them all easily. The fighters circling - Wood throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Wood just misses with a punch to the body.
Zizzmen jabs Wood right on the nose. Wood blinks but takes it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Wood jabbing away but nothing is landing. Zizzmen tries to bum rush Wood with a series of wild strikes but Wood uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Zizzmen is breathing heavily. Zizzmen just misses with a punch to the body.
Wood tries to work over Zizzmen's front leg with a kick but Zizzmen checks it. Zizzmen doesn't manage to clinch there - Wood circles away.
Zizzmen slow jab from Wood misses its intended target. Wood misses with a two punch combination.
Wood steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Zizzmen. Wood shoots in but Zizzmen avoids the takedown attempt easily. Wood drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wood thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The ground and pound from Wood seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Wood has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wood wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Zizzmen, who protects the arm well. Wood tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wood has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Wood is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Zizzmen has escaped the position, nice work there. Wood thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Wood has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Zizzmen is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Wood yanks on the arm and Zizzmen is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Wood.
