The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arteta misses with a looping left.
Arteta bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Arteta tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sosa was well out of range. Poor timing from Arteta.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

It looks like Alfonso Sosa has been cut.

and Sosa counters with a leg kick.

Arteta swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

and Sosa connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Sosa counters with a nice low kick that buckles Arteta's knee momentarily.
Arteta tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Arteta scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Arteta walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Arteta checks a leg kick.

and Sosa counters with a big head kick but Arteta shrugs it off.

and Sosa counters with a left to the body.

and Arteta counters with a huge left! Sosa is in big trouble! He's backing up but Arteta isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Sosa from any more damage. A dominating finish by Arteta!
