Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kelvin Shum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Softy McSofterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kelvin Shum! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Softy McSofterson! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shum throws an overhand right that lands on McSofterson's shoulder, as McSofterson tries to avoid the shot. McSofterson throws a jab but it's blocked by Shum. Some wild striking there from Shum.
Shum misses with a right hand and McSofterson counters with a right hand to the body. Shum lands a jab to the head.
Shum falls off balance throwing a combination
and McSofterson counters with a straight right hand. McSofterson misses with a wild body shot. McSofterson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
McSofterson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Shum changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McSofterson tries to avoid it but Shum manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McSofterson to the ground. McSofterson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. McSofterson looks to land a combination but Shum avoids it well. Shum throws an ugly left hook that misses
and McSofterson counters with a straight right hand. Shum throws a left and a right that both miss
and McSofterson counters with a lovely straight right hand! McSofterson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Shum misses with a combination
and McSofterson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shum misses with a right hand and McSofterson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kelvin Shum seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shum misses with a double jab
and McSofterson counters with a low kick, right behind Shum 's knee. McSofterson darts in and clinches Shum up against the cage. McSofterson tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Shum's elbow. Shum has McSofterson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. McSofterson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. McSofterson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Shum fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kelvin Shum. That's going to take a lot out of him. McSofterson blocks an uppercut.

Shum keeps control of McSofterson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Shum has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. McSofterson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Shum wants a takedown but no success here.

McSofterson manages to break the clinch.
Shum misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Shum is breathing heavily. Shum takes a jab right on the kisser.
Softy McSofterson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by McSofterson.
Shum throws a lazy uppercut
and McSofterson counters with a low kick, right behind Shum 's knee. Shum swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and McSofterson counters with a stiff right hand. Shum with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling McSofterson to score with a decent uppercut. Shum misses the body punch and McSofterson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Shum throws a poor cross that misses
and McSofterson counters with a straight right hand. McSofterson scores with a hook to the body. Shum takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Nice uppercut lands for McSofterson. That snapped Shum's head back.
Shum swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and McSofterson counters with a left and a right that stings Shum. McSofterson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round!Shum had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McSofterson lands a nice hook to Shum's body. Shum takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. McSofterson cracks Shum with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Shum throws a left and a right that both miss
and McSofterson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. McSofterson lands a body shot.
McSofterson throws a hook but Shum avoids it easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shum shoots in for a double leg but McSofterson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Shum rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and McSofterson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Shum. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. McSofterson lands an overhand right. A decent looking cross lands there for McSofterson. McSofterson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Shum.
Shum fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McSofterson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. McSofterson throws a leg kick that misses. Shum connects with a nice cross there... McSofterson is looking wobbly and Shum recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send McSofterson to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Shum jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Kelvin Shum!
