Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Lance Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Joey Wall! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thud! ouch! good body kick from Wall - that will leave a mark!
Jones throws a series of punches but Wall moves out of range. Wall lands with a good body shot. A combination from Wall does no damage. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Wall tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Jones leaves Wall with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Wall throws a nice inside leg kick. Jones is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wall rushes Jones and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Jones prevents a takedown attempt there.
Wall's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Oooooh!!! Wall has knocked Jones down with a huge combo! Wall steps away and waves a wobbly Jones back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Lance Jones has been cut. Wall shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side. Lance Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joey Wall. Wall with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Wall instigates a clinch. Wall decides to pull guard. Wall pulls Jones in close to his closed guard and prevents Jones from doing any damage or advancing position. Wall looking for a sweep. Not yet Wall, not yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wall bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard. Wall is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Wall passes easily into side control. Nice work. The referee asks Wall politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Wall prefers to stall for the moment though. Wall is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Wall wants to control for a moment but Jones uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wall is looking for a kimura here.
Wall is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jones doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wall. Wall is trying to control. Jones wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Wall wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy. Wall is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Joey Wall. Wall tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away. A slow jab from Jones misses its intended target. Jones misses with a double jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joey Wall dominated that round. The cut man is working on Lance Jones's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Wall is trying hard to land a takedown here. Jones sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Jones fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Wall looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Wall takes a shot right to the bread basket. Jones shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Wall eats them both and turns towards Jones to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Wall shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones tries to sprawl out of it but Wall keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Wall takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jab from Jones. Wall takes one on the button. Wall's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jones connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Wall scrambles back to his feet. Jones throws a right and a left that both miss. Wall tries to clinch up. Good shot there by Jones. Jones misses with a wild combination.
Wall will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lance Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joey Wall. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Lance Jones is winning the standup battle so far. A punch combination from Wall misses. Wall's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jones connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Wall scrambles back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wall shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side. Wall fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Jones just misses with a punch to the body.
Jones misses with a left hand and Wall counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Jones's guard now. Wall throwing strikes but missing. Jones is looking to stand up but Wall isn't so interested in that idea. Wall sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wall pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now. Wall slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Jones is not content to let Wall control the position. Jones pushes Wall away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Wall gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Wall is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to get back to his feet but Wall drags him back down. Wall thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Wall controlling from side mount. Wall wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jones is trying to buck Wall off. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wall is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Jones's shoulder. That is not cool. Wall tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Wall trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wall scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Jones throws a series of strikes that have Wall backpedaling.
Wall is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Jones's half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wall seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jones does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Wall stalling away here and it's allowed Jones to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Jones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wall is controlling him. Wall advances to half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones tries to kick Wall off but Wall keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wall wants to control but Jones is keeping him busy. Wall is stalling here. Jones is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Wall seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Jones has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Both fighters take a look at the clock. Jones has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Some wild striking there from Jones.
Jones takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Jones fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jones looks to land a combination but Wall avoids it well. Wall fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wall looking for a takedown. Wall breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Wall tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet. Jones lands a jab. The fight stays on the outside here - Wall looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jones lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Jones throws a series of punches but Wall moves out of range. Wall shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wall was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Jones wants to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wall with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Wall is trying to take his opponent's back.
Jones is squirming around, avoiding Wall's attempts to control the action. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wall moves to the back position.
And that's the end of the fight! Joey Wall comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Wall has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
