Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Peter Beardsley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Ketchup (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Peter Beardsley has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Peter Beardsley seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Beardsley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, John Ketchup! The judges for this bout are James Glass, William Gold and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ketchup gets the takedown into side control. Ketchup wants to control but Beardsley is keeping him busy. Beardsley is trying to improve his position. Ketchup controls the position. Beardsley sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Beardsley wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ketchup wants to advance to full mount but Beardsley doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Beardsley wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Beardsley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Beardsley tries to land a sweep but no joy. Beardsley manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Ketchup tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beardsley is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Ketchup can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Beardsley looking to finish Ketchup with some ground and pound. This is bad for Ketchup! Ketchup really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beardsley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Beardsley controlling the pace for now. Beardsley has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Ketchup's face.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Beardsley throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Ketchup because Beardsley loaded up on that one. Beardsley lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Beardsley can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ketchup is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ketchup is desperately trying to improve his position but Beardsley has a good base and remains in mount. Beardsley in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Beardsley misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Ketchup in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Ketchup holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Beardsley tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Beardsley scoring with strikes but Ketchup is staying in there. Ketchup tries to hold on but Beardsley pushes him away. Ketchup is in all sorts of trouble here.
Beardsley lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Ketchup hang on? Ketchup is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ketchup takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Beardsley thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Beardsley lands a big elbow. Beardsley raining down shots from the mount! Ketchup wants to control but Beardsley is having none of it. Beardsley looking to finish with strikes here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beardsley can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ketchup is looking to escape. Ketchup avoids a series of strikes thrown by Beardsley.
Beardsley landing punches. Ketchup is trying desperately to improve position. Beardsley lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Ketchup hang on? Beardsley is in the full mount, landing strikes. Ketchup defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Beardsley. Ketchup is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Beardsley dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Beardsley fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Ketchup to the ground. Beardsley is now in Ketchup's guard. Beardsley slips nicely into half guard. Beardsley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ketchup keeps working. Ketchup is trying to stand back up but Beardsley is controlling him

Peter Beardsley overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ketchup pushes Beardsley off looking to stand but Beardsley dives back in and keeps control.
Ground and pound from Beardsley. Ketchup is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ketchup blocking the ground and pound attempt from Beardsley. Beardsley trying to control the action but Ketchup is working from the bottom. Beardsley throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Beardsley working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Beardsley lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Ketchup is staying active underneath Beardsley, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Beardsley wants to pass to mount but Ketchup is defending the position. Beardsley is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Ketchup has managed to free his arm - good work. Beardsley not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Beardsley passes to side control. Beardsley working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Beardsley landing strikes. Beardsley throws a strike aimed at the side of Ketchup's head but Ketchup avoids it well. Beardsley working the head with strikes. Beardsley grinds an elbow into Ketchup's temple. A lull in the action here. Beardsley misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beardsley trying to control the position but Ketchup is working away. Ketchup is looking to reverse the position. Beardsley tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Beardsley is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Ketchup is trying to escape and Beardsley transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Ketchup is forced to tap! Nice work there by Beardsley! Very nice indeed!
