And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Branko Dalibor!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dalibor swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Dalibor takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Shalbek throws a right hand that misses

and Dalibor decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Shalbek's guard.
Shalbek keeping moving, preventing Dalibor from controlling successfully.

Dalibor tries to bum rush Shalbek with a series of wild strikes but Shalbek uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Dalibor lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shalbek circles away quickly and effectively.

Vladimir Shalbek seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Dalibor is defended easily by Shalbek.

Shalbek tries to sprawl but Dalibor drives through with a takedown into half guard.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Shalbek enables Dalibor to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shalbek manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Dalibor wants to control from the top but Shalbek keeps moving.
Dalibor throws and elbow that misses. Shalbek uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dalibor's guard. Nice move by Shalbek!

Dalibor kicks Shalbek off and gets to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
