Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Hitman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Cari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andrew Hitman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jay Cari!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cari slaps away a takedown attempt from Hitman, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Cari scores a takedown into full mount!
Cari goes for an armbar but Hitman turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Hitman.
Cari has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hitman is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cari.
Hitman decides to stand back up.
Hitman wants to clinch up but Cari keeps it at a distance.

Hitman manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Cari on his heels. He'll look to pass Cari's guard now, I'm sure.

Cari has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Cari shoots in and bounces Hitman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Hitman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cari swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cari is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hitman moves into full mount! Cari won't be happy about that!

Hitman is stalling here. Cari is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hitman seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Cari has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Cari stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Hitman moves to clinch but Cari breaks away
and Cari counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Cari has gone for a leg lock! Hitman slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cari's guard.
Hitman might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

A close round but Jay Cari will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Cari feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Cari is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hitman is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Hitman drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cari manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Hitman has Cari in his guard.
Cari drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hitman looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hitman looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hitman!

Hitman is looking for a kimura but Cari is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hitman to get the leverage.
Cari is looking to improve his position.
Cari lands with a few short shots to the body.
Cari wants to control but Hitman is keeping busy.
Hitman working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Cari's thigh. Cari counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Cari is looking to stand up but Hitman isn't so interested in that idea.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hitman is working Cari over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Cari throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hitman escapes and throws Cari's legs to the side, diving into side control!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cari is not content to let Hitman control the position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Cari fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hitman to the ground. Cari is now in Hitman's guard.

Hitman got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cari has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hitman has managed to get both his arms back between Cari's legs - danger averted.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Andrew Hitman.
Well Cari has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
