Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Starrk Lobos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, James Carey!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lobos showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Carey.
Left hook, right uppercut from Carey.
Lobos slips a jab and a cross from Carey.
Lobos misses with a double jab
and Carey counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lobos tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lobos shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carey but Carey pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Lobos rushes Carey and presses him up against the cage.
Carey is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Lobos has had enough of the clinch but Carey keeps him there for the moment.
Lobos is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Carey gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Carey breaks the clinch.
Carey misses with a two punch combination.
Horrible takedown by Lobos or perhaps it was just good defense by Carey which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Starrk Lobos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lobos closes this distance looking for a takedown but Carey circles away.

Carey wants to try and get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lobos can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Carey is looking to escape.
Carey squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Lobos wants to control the pace but Carey is squirming around nicely.
Carey really wants to buck Lobos off and get back to his feet.

Lobos wants to finish this one by submission but Carey is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lobos.
Lobos is breathing heavily.
You get the feeling that Carey really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Lobos looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Carey is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
Carey holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Lobos tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Carey tries to buck Lobos off but he can't manage it.

Lobos jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Carey is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Carey and Lobos has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Carey is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lobos has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Carey is being controlled here.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Lobos works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Lobos scores with punches from side control.
Lobos wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carey keeps working.

Lobos tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Lobos has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lobos advances nicely into full mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lobos is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Carey can't stay in a position like this for much longer.


Carey is rocked!

Lobos has isolated one of Carey's arms. Carey looking to fight him off but Lobos twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
