Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Castle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Woods!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Alyssa Summers and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Woods misses with a double jab.
Castle shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Woods counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Woods throws out a loose jab but Castle uses good head movement to avoid it.
Woods misses with an uppercut

and Castle counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Castle is trying to work for a kimura but Woods is defending well.

Castle is looking for a kimura here.
Castle is looking to advance position but Woods won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Castle is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Woods sees it coming and defends easily.
Castle is looking to take a break and control but Woods is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Woods keeping hold of Castle's head, controlling as best he can.
Woods regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Castle.
Woods is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Woods seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Castle postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Woods is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Castle, into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Woods distracts Castle with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Castle has his foot on Woods's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Woods works his way back into a safe position though.
Woods wants to control from the top but Castle keeps moving.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Castle looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Castle can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Woods controls the pace.

Castle is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Woods has his hands clasped together but Castle extends an breaks Woods's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Castle.
