Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Sauers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexey Ignashov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ignashov has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Shane Sauers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Alexey Ignashov! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ignashov throws a head kick but Sauers moves out of range.
Ignashov looks gassed! Sauers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Sauers content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Sauers loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Sauers lands a couple of elbows. Sauers has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Sauers trying to control but Ignashov is working from the bottom. Ignashov being controlled here, momentarily. The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Shane Sauers. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sauers. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sauers.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sauers digs a good body shot into Ignashov's ribs. Sauers gets a double leg takedown into Ignashov's guard. Sauers controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Ignashov keeping full guard, as Sauers tries to pass. Sauers trying to control but Ignashov is working from the bottom. Ignashov can't keep his opponent in guard - Sauers advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Sauers thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sauers takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sauers has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Ignashov keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sauers moves nicely into side control. Sauers taking a breather here. Sauers throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sauers wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ignashov keeps working. Sauers taking a breather here. Ignashov prevents Sauers from moving into mount. Shane Sauers dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Ignashov stuffs the takedown attempt from Sauers. Sauers gets slowly back to his feet. Ignashov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sauers. Ignashov wants to clinch and Sauers counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ignashov won't be happy with that. Sauers is looking to take a break and control but Ignashov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Sauers looks up at the clock and then as Ignashov takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Sauers smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
It looks like Alexey Ignashov has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sauers in side control, just content to control the action for now. Ignashov is breathing heavily. Sauers lands a few punches from side control. Sauers tries to advance to mount but can't. Sauers misses with the ground and pound. Sauers is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Ignashov will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Sauers passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Ignashov!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sauers scoring with strikes but Ignashov is staying in there. A nice elbow there by Sauers. Shane Sauers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sauers scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Ignashov?
Sauers takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Ignashov is squirming around, avoiding Sauers's attempts to control the action. Sauers is landing with some decent strikes but Ignashov is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sauers looking to ground and pound but Ignashov is blocking nicely. Sauers working away from the top, dropping strikes.
That has opened up Alexey Ignashov's cut even more. Ignashov defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Sauers. Ignashov is bucking up trying to escape but Sauers cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Alexey Ignashov's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Alexey Ignashov's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Shane Sauers!
