Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimbo Te Mako (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tap Out (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimbo Te Mako has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimbo Te Mako!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tap Out!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Summer Carpenter and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Out looks to score with a jab to the body but Te Mako is just out of range.
Out tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Te Mako is able to avoid easily.
Tap Out seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Te Mako just misses with a punch to the body.
Out swinging wildly here.

Out has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Te Mako can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Out utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Out lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Te Mako circles away quickly and effectively.
No luck for Te Mako with that takedown attempt.

Out throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Te Mako.

Out shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Te Mako eats them both and turns towards Out to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Tap Out is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Out will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Out throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Te Mako sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Tap Out showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Te Mako manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Out on his heels. He'll look to pass Out's guard now, I'm sure.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Te Mako seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Out does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Te Mako wants to lay and pray for a moment but Out keeps working.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Out is trying to control the position but Te Mako postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Out keeping full guard, as Te Mako tries to pass.
Te Mako will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Out looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Out wants to sweep but no luck.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jimbo Te Mako.
I think Te Mako has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
