Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between DEAN RUSSO (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Aguiar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
RUSSO closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Aguiar misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Aguiar missing with punches from the bottom.
RUSSO wants to pass to mount but Aguiar is defending the position.
Aguiar is trying to get back to full guard.
RUSSO is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Aguiar pushes RUSSO off but RUSSO dives into side control.
RUSSO wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Aguiar, who protects the arm well.
Aguiar is trying to improve his position.
RUSSO is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Aguiar knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Aguiar is looking to regain half guard here but RUSSO keeps moving and retains side control.

Aguiar is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
RUSSO is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Aguiar is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Aguiar is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked RUSSO off and has taken his back!
RUSSO covers up after that shot from Aguiar.
Aguiar is hanging on to RUSSO's back as he tries to escape.
