PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mitch Brewer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tuco Mendoza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mitch Brewer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tuco Mendoza!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brewer thuds his right hand into Mendoza's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Mendoza misses with a wild body shot.
Mendoza throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Brewer dips to his left and cracks Mendoza with an uppercut!
Mendoza rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Brewer counters with a nice leg kick.
Mendoza misses with a right hand
and Brewer counters with a nice body shot.
Brewer keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Brewer throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mendoza stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Brewer is looking for a sweep. Mendoza is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Mendoza thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brewer's head.

Tuco Mendoza showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
