Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frederik Valefar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Davis's choice of entrance music: Rancid-Last one to Die. Frederik Valefar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frederik Valefar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nate Davis! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Steve Montenegro and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Valefar.
Frederik Valefar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Valefar misses with a two punch combination.
Davis shoots for a takedown but Valefar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Davis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Valefar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Valefar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Valefar controlling the position easily from mount. Davis is desperately trying to improve his position but Valefar has a good base and remains in mount. Davis is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Davis is squirming around, avoiding Valefar's attempts to control the action. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Valefar get's back to his feet. Valefar scores with a takedown into Davis's guard. Davis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Valefar's guard.

Davis tries to free his leg and advance position but Valefar is retaining full guard. Valefar escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Davis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Valefar is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Davis drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Valefar manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Davis has Valefar in his guard. Valefar wanted to stand there but Davis had control of the position. Valefar slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Davis.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Valefar with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Davis tries to get to full guard but Valefar has control of the leg. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Valefar wants to control but Davis is keeping him busy. Davis is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Valefar pulls his head out easily. Valefar stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Davis to get to his feet. Valefar throws a right and a left that both miss. Davis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Valefar but Valefar pushes him off and we're back to square one. Valefar looks to land a combination but Davis avoids it well. Davis shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Valefar as he avoids it easily. Frederik Valefar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nate Davis. Valefar lands with a straight right. Davis didn't see that one coming. Nice sprawl there from Valefar as Davis shoots in. Davis lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis feints and as Valefar raises his hands in defense, Davis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Davis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Davis pushing down on Valefar's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Davis passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Valefar! Valefar is desperately trying to improve his position but Davis has a good base and remains in mount. Valefar wants to control but Davis is having none of it. Valefar's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Valefar sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Davis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Valefar defends it well. Valefar is looking for a sweep. Davis is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Valefar wants to get back to his feet. Davis blocks the strikes from Valefar.
Valefar looks like he's trying to stand up.
Valefar is looking to get back to full guard here but Davis has managed to pass to side control instead. Valefar is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Valefar really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Valefar is trying to reverse the position but instead Davis has taken his back - oops! Davis throwing wild punches that miss their target. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frederik Valefar dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

The fighters circling - Valefar throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Davis lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Davis throws a leg kick which misses Valefar's front leg but catches the back leg as Valefar tries to avoid it. Valefar blocks a head kick by Davis.
Valefar shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Valefar showed some decent athleticism there. Valefar is tying to control. Davis wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Davis gets full guard. Davis manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Valefar manages to get himself to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Davis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Valefar looking for a sweep. Not yet Valefar, not yet. Valefar looking to control but Davis passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis uses his free foot to push down on Valefar's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Valefar. Valefar is trying to stand. Valefar is desperately trying to improve his position but Davis has a good base and remains in mount. Valefar is trying to stand. Valefar is trying desperately to improve position. Valefar gets back to half guard. Valefar is in trouble now - Davis has advanced to mount! Valefar is working to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Valefar really wants to buck Davis off and get back to his feet. Valefar regains half guard. Valefar is pressing down on Davis's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Valefar pulls Davis in close to prevent any damage. Davis slips nicely into half guard. Valefar kicks off Davis and gets to his feet. Valefar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Davis. Valefar misses with a straight right. Valefar doesn't succeed with the takedown and Davis counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Valefar is lucky that one didn't land flush.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis with a poor takedown and Valefar counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Valefar. Davis has a closed guard, preventing Valefar from standing up. Valefar is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Davis looking for a triangle here. Valefar is fighting it but it looks tight! Davis pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Valefar is tapping out - this one is all over!
