Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tony Soprano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Fatts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Fatts's choice of entrance music: Hit Em Up by Tupac. Tony Soprano could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jay Fatts's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Alyssa Summers and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Soprano with that takedown attempt.
Fatts pushes Soprano up against the cage in a clinch.
Fatts has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Soprano clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Well, with Fatts on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Soprano is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Fatts connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Soprano to escape the position.

Fatts is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Soprano knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Soprano for a finish.
Fatts doesn't have the hooks in and Soprano manages to turn into his guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Fatts counters with a shoot takedown. Soprano fights it but they end up in guard.

Soprano has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fatts can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Fatts works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Fatts lands with a punch from half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Fatts lands a nice short elbow.

Soprano is looking to improve his position.

Fatts passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Soprano!
Soprano tries to lock up and control but Fatts gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Fatts swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Soprano is now in Fatts's guard. A big mistake from Fatts there, giving up the dominant position!

Soprano is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Soprano wants to stand but Fatts has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Soprano passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Soprano tries for a kimura but Fatts is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Soprano tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Fatts.
Soprano is pressing down on Fatts's thigh, looking to free his foot. Fatts is holding on for now.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Fatts tries to roll over but Soprano keeps him under control.
Fatts is refusing to be controlled, as Soprano sits in half guard.
Fatts is looking to improve his position.
Fatts pushes Soprano off looking to stand but Soprano dives back in and keeps control.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Soprano misses with a takedown attempt
and Fatts counters with a nice double leg into side control. Soprano won't be happy with that.
Fatts decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Soprano lands a nice looking body shot.
Soprano shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Soprano was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Soprano throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Soprano prevents Fatts from getting the reversal.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fatts is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Fatts dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Fatts closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Fatts lands a decent elbow from side control.
Soprano tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Fatts lands an elbow.
Soprano is rocked!
Fatts lands a strong strike to the head of Soprano. That's dazed him! Fatts looking to finish here. Soprano is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Fatts lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
