Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Paul Luvi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Luvi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Will Banks! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Daniel Cesar and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Banks looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Banks checks a leg kick. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Banks throws a series of strikes that have Luvi backpedaling.
Luvi misses with a head kick.

Luvi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Banks moves out of range of the body kick. Banks tries to close the distance and clinch up but Luvi swats him away and circles back towards the center. Luvi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Banks looks to clinch and Luvi counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Banks is lucky that one didn't land flush. Banks scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Banks controlling the action here. Banks thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banks not landing any meaningful shots this time. Banks slows the pace down in half guard. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Luvi taking some punishment here, with Banks in his half guard. Banks wants to pass to mount but Luvi is defending the position. Banks missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Banks missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Banks with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Banks has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Banks sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Luvi defending well though. Banks is taking a breather. Luvi says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Banks throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Banks throwing shots but Luvi is blocking nicely. Banks thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Luvi's head. Banks is controlling the pace.

It looks like Banks might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Luvi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Banks on the ground.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Will Banks hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Crunch! Luvi slams his shin into Banks's torso. Luvi keeps the fight on the outside.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Banks misses with a series of wild punches.
Banks on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Banks shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Luvi blocking the ground and pound attempt from Banks. Luvi tries to roll over but Banks keeps him under control. Banks content to control rather than advance. Banks works his way into side control. Banks lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Luvi down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Will Banks dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
A head kick misses from Luvi. Banks darts in trying to clinch and Luvi counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. A bone on bone clash there as Luvi blocks the leg kick.

Luvi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Paul Luvi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Banks avoids the head kick by Luvi.

Banks takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

A good leg kick by Luvi. Banks shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Luvi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Luvi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Banks prevents Luvi from getting back to his feet. Banks is breathing heavily. Banks scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Banks controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banks trying to control the position from guard on top but Luvi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Banks seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Luvi is trying to control the position but Banks postures up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Will Banks was stalling too much, according to the referee. Banks takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Banks crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Luvi - the referee stops the clock and Banks gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Luvi. Banks manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Banks is looking to clinch. Banks fails with a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Banks avoids the head kick by Luvi.
Banks moves out of range of the body kick. A solid leg kick lands there for Luvi.
Luvi tries a head kick but it misses.
Banks closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Luvi to the mat! Luvi manages to get full guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Luvi holds on and takes a little breather. Banks throws a strike but Luvi rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Banks pushes Luvi off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Banks takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Luvi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Banks closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Luvi to the mat! Luvi manages to get full guard. Banks trying to control the position from guard on top but Luvi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Banks is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Banks throwing strikes from guard but Luvi blocks nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Luvi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Luvi wants to advance to full mount but Banks doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Banks is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Luvi dominated that second round. That's time! Luvi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Luvi goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Banks moves to clinch but Luvi breaks away and Luvi counters with a head kick. Banks fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Luvi sprawls well initially but Banks persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Banks wants to lay and pray for a moment but Luvi keeps working. Banks not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Luvi is looking to escape. Banks perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Luvi tries to get to full guard but Banks has control of the leg. Banks landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Luvi avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Banks.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banks thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Luvi has one foot on Banks's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Luvi misses with a head kick.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Banks gets a double leg takedown into Luvi's guard. Banks showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Banks lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Banks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Banks controlling from the top position. Luvi can't keep his opponent in guard - Banks advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Banks content to control rather than advance. Luvi keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Will Banks has got the better of the ground game so far. Luvi blocking the ground and pound attempt from Banks. Banks not doing much here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Banks performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Banks sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Luvi defending well though. Banks frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Banks breaks from Luvi's wrist control and lands an elbow. Luvi can't escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Luvi avoids a series of strikes thrown by Banks.
Banks pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Luvi takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Banks landing strikes from the mount and Luvi is in trouble! Banks controlling his opponent. Banks with shots to the head and body - Luvi looks very uncomfortable down there. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Banks tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
And that's the end of the fight! Will Banks comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Banks has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
