Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Rubber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anton Jackson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oliver Rubber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anton Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Steve Montenegro and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Jackson, as that shot connected.
Jackson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Jackson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jackson content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Jackson advances to mount.
Rubber working to try and regain half guard.
Jackson scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Jackson lands a big elbow.
Jackson wants to control the pace but Rubber is squirming around nicely.

Jackson has control of Rubber's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Rubber regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Jackson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jackson lands in his opponent's guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Jackson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Jackson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rubber's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rubber's back!
Jackson is not going to allow Rubber to sit and survive in this position.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Anton Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Jackson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Rubber had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jackson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rubber Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jackson's back instead.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Rubber will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jackson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Oliver Rubber.
Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
