The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Kengo as Dell shoots in.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Kengo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dell.
Dell tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
PC Dell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Dell throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kengo's waist but Kengo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dell off to one side.

Nice straight punches there by Kengo. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kengo.
Kengo lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Dell tries to clinch there but Kengo circles away.

Kengo tries to close the distance and clinch but Dell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

The fight stays on the outside here - Kengo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Dell shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kengo tries to work over Dell's front leg with a kick but Dell checks it.
Dell tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Kengo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kengo shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Dell eats them both and turns towards Kengo to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Kengo connects with a single shot there.
Kengo misses with a low kick.
Kengo scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Dell fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kengo avoids it really well and circles away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
A punch lands to the side of Dell 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Kengo misses with a low kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kengo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Dell walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Dell takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Dell takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Dell keeps the fight on the outside.

Kengo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Dell, pushing him back against the cage.
Kengo is pressed up against the cage. Dell has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kengo down to the mat. Kengo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Kengo wants to clinch.
Kengo throws a solid leg kick but Dell takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kengo.
Dell avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Yoshitani Kengo will probably get the nod - 10:9.

A leg kick checked by Dell.
Kengo connects with a good right hand that stumbles Dell. Dell circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Kengo throws a solid leg kick but Dell takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kengo.
Dell shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kengo as he jumps to the side.
Kengo darts in trying to clinch

and Dell counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Dell stands and throws Kengo's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Dell advances nicely into full mount.
Dell throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
PC Dell overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Dell throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Dell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Dell cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Dell is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kengo can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Dell lands a nice shot to the head.
Dell has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kengo's face.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kengo really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Dell is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Dell takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Kengo lands a nice looking body shot.

Dell throws a right and a left that Kengo avoids nicely.

Dell shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Dell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kengo keeps working.
Dell landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
