The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Rodriguez enables Haze to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Rodriguez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Haze trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Haze is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Haze drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rodriguez dives on top into guard.

Haze working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rodriguez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rodriguez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Haze has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Rodriguez should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Haze has tightened it up now! Rodriguez should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
