Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Austin Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and vitor augusto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). vitor augusto told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

augusto closes the distance and clinches.
Barnett stalling in the clinch but augusto improves position.
Barnett can't seem to implement his control oriented gameplan at the moment. That's no bad thing of course, for those of us who want to see a good fight.

augusto wants the takedown. Barnett is fighting it off but augusto persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Barnett's guard against the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barnett manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

augusto closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Barnett to the mat! Barnett manages to get full guard.
