Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Keith Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryan Carter!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some bone on bone action there as Carter checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Carter looks to land a left hand but Stone moved out of range nicely.
Stone dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Carter. That did some damage!
Stone shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Carter sprawls well. Carter wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stone gets slowly back to his feet.
Carter moves out of range of the body kick from Stone.
Stone throws a lazy right hand but Carter sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Carter leaves Stone with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carter misses with a hook.
Carter uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Stone.
Stone throws a big shot that misses.

Stone shoots in for a double leg but Carter sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Keith Stone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Carter throws a lazy uppercut
and Carter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Stone attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Stone takes one on the chin but seems OK.

and Carter counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Carter throws the left hand but Stone avoids the punch easily.

and Carter counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Stone thinking.
Stone shoots in for a double leg but Carter sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Stone shoots in looking for a takedown but Carter manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Stone's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Carter misses with a right hand

and Stone decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Carter's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stone prevents Carter from getting back to his feet.

Stone throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Carter works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Carter can do anything to dispel that myth.
Carter avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Stone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carter swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stone trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Carter manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Carter wants to control from the top but Stone keeps moving.

Stone is looking for a triangle here but Carter uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Carter wants to stand but Stone has his arm trapped.

Stone manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Carter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stone. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Stone wants to free his trapped foot but Carter is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Carter is refusing to be controlled, as Stone sits in half guard.
Stone wants to advance to full mount but Carter doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Stone wants to control from the top but Carter keeps moving.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Stone is really struggling to control Carter but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Stone working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Stone loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Stone throws a big right hand that misses.
Carter avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Stone postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Stone has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Stone content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Stone has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Carter defend it? Stone steps over the head and cranks it - Carter is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Stone!
