Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Doza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doza comes into a darkened arena with his song building. que vida boa kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King misses with a takedown

and Doza counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

King might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Doza trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Doza is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Doza has gone for a leg lock! King slips out almost immediately though and dives into Doza's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

We're going to have a standup here because Josh King wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
King throws a shot from downtown. Doza moves away and avoids it.
King checks the leg kick nicely there.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Doza fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but King avoids it really well and circles away.
Doza does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Doza keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Doza ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

King shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Doza counters with a takedown into side control.
King sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Doza is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so King is just riding it out for now. Doza eventually gives up the hold.

Doza is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, King has managed to free his arm - good work.

Doza is sneakily working for an arm triangle but King sees it coming and defends easily.

Doza is stalling here. King is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Doza seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and King has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Doza sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

A close round but Frank Doza will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


King throws an off balance right hand
and Doza counters with a good low kick that King was not able to check.
King misses with a jab to the body
and Doza counters with a slapping leg kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Doza lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and King has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from King and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

King shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
King is trying to control. Doza wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Doza is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
King sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Doza defending well though.
Doza blocking the ground and pound attempt from King.
Doza trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
King controlling from the full mount.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Doza really doesn't want to stay on the ground with King. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Doza can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
King avoids the attempt from Doza to control.
King wants to control the pace but Doza is squirming around nicely.

King takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

King tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Doza is wriggling around trying to escape.
King cracks Doza with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
King has his opponent pinned against the ropes, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Doza's face.

King controlling the pace for now.
Doza tries to reverse the position but King maintains control.
King really is a fat lump.
King is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Doza regains half guard.
King winds up and cracks Doza with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Frank Doza has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Doza trying to hold on to King's head to control him but King postures up.
King scoring with strikes to the body and head.
King not landing any meaningful shots this time.
King prevents Doza from improving his position.

Josh King showed his dominance in that final round.
I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
