The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kid doesn't manage to clinch there - Oliveira circles away.
Oliveira stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Oliveira wants it to stay on the feet.

Kid throws a leg kick which misses Oliveira's front leg but catches the back leg as Oliveira tries to avoid it.

Oliveira throws a looping overhand right but Kid ducks down to avoid it.

Kid changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Oliveira looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Kid wants to control but Oliveira is keeping him busy.
Kid creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Oliveira sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Oliveira is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kid is controlling him well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Oliveira throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kid counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Kid shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Oliveira but Oliveira pushes him off and we're back to square one.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Kid. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Kid looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Oliveira with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

I've got Kid winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
