Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrej Karkarov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Happy Me (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Happy Me is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrej Karkarov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Happy Me! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksandr Martynov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karkarov gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Me to score an easy takedown into full guard. Me slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Me's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Karkarov looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Karkarov pulls Me in close to prevent any damage. Me stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Karkarov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Happy Me hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Me takes the fight into the clinch. Karkarov tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Me just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Me is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Karkarov can't fight it off and eventually Me manages to take the fight to the floor. Karkarov looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Me should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Me trying to control but Karkarov is working from the bottom. Me loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Karkarov keeping moving, preventing Me from controlling successfully. Me is pushing down on Karkarov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Karkarov is fighting to maintain full guard but Me has managed to sneak the leg through. Karkarov blocking the ground and pound attempt from Me. Karkarov has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Me is working away from the top position though. Me with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Karkarov tries to clinch but fails miserably and Me decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Karkarov's guard. Me preventing the sweep. Me controls from within his opponent's guard. Me stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Karkarov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karkarov keeping moving, preventing Me from controlling successfully. Me looks gassed! Me won't allow Karkarov to sweep him here.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Happy Me. Karkarov moves to clinch but Me breaks away and Me counters with a nice double leg into side control. Karkarov won't be happy with that. Karkarov manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Me wants to free his trapped foot but Karkarov is holding on for dear life with his legs. Me thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Karkarov to regain full guard. Me looking to sit in guard and control but Karkarov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Karkarov has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Me is proving hard to escape from.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Karkarov makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Karkarov trying to control but Me is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Karkarov postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Karkarov thows a big elbow that misses. Karkarov lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Happy Me dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Karkarov tries to grapple but his opponent circles so Me counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Me drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Karkarov manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Me has Karkarov in his guard. Karkarov postures up and lands a big shot to Me's brow. Karkarov works over Me with some ground and pound from guard. Me has a closed guard, preventing Karkarov from standing up. Me is breathing heavily. Me has his foot on Karkarov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Karkarov works his way back into a safe position though. Karkarov chips away with some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Me keeping moving, preventing Karkarov from controlling successfully. Karkarov postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Karkarov thows a big elbow that misses. Karkarov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Karkarov is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Karkarov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Me really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Karkarov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Me has momentary wrist control but Karkarov slips an elbow through the middle. Karkarov wants to stand but Me has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karkarov drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Karkarov seems to have locked his on tight now - Me screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Karkarov, as he picks up the win!
