Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cliff D (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Amund Skaar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Amund Skaar is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cliff D! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Amund Skaar! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Bruno Lombardi and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! D fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Skaar lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends D sprawling to the canvas. Skaar follows him down, looking for the kill. Can D hang on?
It looks like Cliff D has been cut. Skaar takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. D misses with some strikes from the bottom.
D has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. D avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Skaar. Skaar trying to mount his opponent but D defends it. Skaar seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. D slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Skaar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now D is on top in guard.
D trying to control the position from guard on top but Skaar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Skaar is striking from the bottom but D uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Skaar is trying to stand up here but D is controlling him well. D is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
D is breathing heavily. D wants to get back to his feet.
Skaar is looking for a sweep. D is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Skaar wants to control but D is keeping busy.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Some wild striking there from Skaar.
D doesn't manage to clinch there - Skaar circles away.
D avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Skaar wants to clinch up but D keeps it at a distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. D tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Skaar swivels and escapes. Skaar throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Skaar. D tries to improve position but can't. Skaar content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Skaar working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. D gets back to half guard. D is pressing down on Skaar's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. D looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Skaar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with D. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

D is in the full mount, landing strikes. Skaar is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
D trying to control but Skaar is having none of it. D unloading with bombs! Skaar is squirming around, avoiding D's attempts to control the action. Skaar tries to hold on but D pushes him away. Skaar in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. D tries to control but Skaar wriggling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. D is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Skaar is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. The referee warns Skaar that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Skaar is trying desperately to improve position. D is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Skaar can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
D working Skaar over with strikes here. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, D cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
D goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Skaar turns into him and now he's in D's guard.
D looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. D is working hard here to advance position. D has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Skaar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but John Amund Skaar will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Cliff D's cut. That's time! D's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
D gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Skaar counters with a single leg into guard. D didn't expect that. Skaar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. D swivels though and keeps the full guard. D keeping moving, preventing Skaar from controlling successfully. D utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. D tries to land a sweep but no joy. D not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
D is looking for a triangle but Skaar pushes his legs off easily.
D has momentary wrist control but Skaar slips an elbow through the middle. D keeping moving, preventing Skaar from controlling successfully. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. D not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Skaar scoring with punches to the head and body. D wants to sweep here but Skaar controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Skaar trying to control but D is working from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. D with a poor takedown enabling Skaar to counter with a crisp jab. D shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Skaar counters with a big head kick but D shrugs it off. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cliff D. That's going to take a lot out of him. D gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Skaar decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in D's guard. D looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Skaar postures up and lands a big shot to D's brow. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Skaar landing some decent shots from guard. Skaar landing some decent shots from guard. Skaar wants to pass the guard but D is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Skaar trying to control but D is working from the bottom. John Amund Skaar has got the better of the ground game so far. D manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Skaar manages to get himself to full guard.
D won't allow Skaar to get back to his feet. Skaar throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Skaar decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skaar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks D with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. D gets back to full guard.
D has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Skaar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. D looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
D is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Skaar is controlling him. D lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Skaar! D takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
D lands punches and elbows. Skaar is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get D off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Skaar looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. D has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Skaar! Can he survive? No! He's out! D gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
