PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geter Done (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Dundee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Geter Done!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paul Dundee!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dundee misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Dundee has taken the fight to the clinch.
Dundee goes for a takedown attempt but Done pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Done moves in looking to clinch but Dundee pushes him off.

Done drives through and clinches with Dundee against the cage.
Dundee tries to pull guard but Done holds him up against the cage and eventually Dundee drops back down to his feet.
Geter Done has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Dundee.
Done misses with the head strike.

Done's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dundee fails to land with a series of punches.
Paul Dundee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dundee shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Done but Done pushes him off and we're back to square one.

and Done counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

A frustrated look appears on Done's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Done breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dundee doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Done counters with a two punch combo.
Done pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Done closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Done gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dundee blocks a head kick by Done.
Dundee dives in and grabs Done's left leg, looking for a takedown. Done pushes down on Dundee's head and hops out.
Done lands a two punch combo.


It looks like Paul Dundee has been cut.
Dundee looks gassed!

Done fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dundee sprawls well initially but Done persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Dundee wants to get back to his feet.
Done scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Done is figuring out what he wants to do next.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Dundee is trying to stand up here but Done is controlling him well.
Dundee taking some punishment here, with Done in his half guard.

Done decides to return to a standing position.
Done avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Done lands a slapping body shot.
Dundee has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dundee there as he acknowledges the shot.
Good leg kick by Done there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Dundee slips a jab and a cross from Done.

Done throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dundee tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Done is in Dundee's guard.
Dundee working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Done.
Done landing with the ground and pound.

Dundee looking for a guillotine here but Done defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Done trying to control but Dundee is working from the bottom.

Done is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Done chips away with some ground and pound.
Dundee is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Done is controlling him.
Done throwing strikes from guard but Dundee blocks nicely.
Dundee wants to get back to his feet but Done is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Dundee really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Done. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Done scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Dundee has momentary wrist control but Done slips an elbow through the middle.
Done loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dundee can do anything to dispel that myth.
Done throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dundee works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Done thows a big elbow that misses.
Done missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Done works over Dundee with some ground and pound from guard.

Done thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Done throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Dundee works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Dundee wants to stand up but Done is controlling him.

Dundee is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Done is aware though and is defending well.

Dundee had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Done defends it easily.

Done gets to his feet. Dundee looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Done cracks the inside of Dundee's front leg.

Done shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dundee napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Done scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Dundee to see if he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Done in side control lands a decent elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Geter Done dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Paul Dundee's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Done drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Done won't allow Dundee to get back to his feet.
Done lands a couple of elbows.
Done throwing strikes but missing.
Done postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Done decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Dundee darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Done has one foot on Dundee's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Done looks to land a combination. Dundee sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Geter Done is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dundee shoots in and drives through. Done sprawls well.
Dundee is breathing heavily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Done.
Done has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Done moves into full mount!
Done lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Dundee hang on?

Done wants to finish this one by submission but Dundee is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Done.
Done looking to control but Dundee is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Done with shots to the head and body - Dundee looks very uncomfortable down there.
Done postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dundee looks a forlorn figure.
Dundee is trying to escape the mount.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Done cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!


That has opened up Paul Dundee's cut even more.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Paul Dundee's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Geter Done!
