Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Daley Borisov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Skerlik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daley Borisov! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nick Skerlik! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Borisov throws a good cross that connects.
Borisov looks to land a combination but Skerlik avoids it well. Skerlik gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Borisov trying to control but Skerlik is working from the bottom. Borisovis looking to pass into half guard but Skerlik pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Skerlik is in guard. Borisov keeping moving, preventing Skerlik from controlling successfully. Borisov is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Skerlik trying to control the position from guard on top but Borisov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Borisov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Skerlik defends it easily. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Borisov holds on and takes a little breather.
That's one minute gone in the round. Borisov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Skerlik doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Skerlik manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Skerlik stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Borisov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Borisov really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Skerlik wants to control from the top but Borisov keeps moving. Skerlik thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Skerlik trying to control the position from guard on top but Borisov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Borisov looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Borisov controls Skerlik momentarily but Skerlik frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Borisov keeping full guard, as Skerlik tries to pass. Skerlik got a little sloppy there for a moment and Borisov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Skerlik has managed to get both his arms back between Borisov's legs - danger averted. Borisov working a defensive guard but Skerlik passes into half guard.

Skerlik is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Borisov moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Skerlik stands and throws Borisov's legs to the side, diving into side control. Borisov can't do much from the bottom here. Skerlik is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Borisov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Borisov tries to improve position but can't. Borisov is working hard here to advance position. Skerlik is trying to get an arm triangle but Borisov is defending well. Skerlik looks gassed! Borisov manages to work his way to half guard, despite Skerlik's best efforts.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Borisov tries to roll over but Skerlik keeps him under control. Borisov moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Borisov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Borisov looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Skerlik wants to control from the top but Borisov keeps moving. Borisov working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Skerlik has passed into half guard!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Borisov is trying to maintain the position but Skerlik is very close to passing his half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Borisov throws a hook but Skerlik avoids it easily. Skerlik shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Borisov sprawls well. Borisov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Skerlik gets slowly back to his feet. Borisov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Borisov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
