Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Curtis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Curtis has chosen Here Comes The Boom as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andy Savage! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jon Curtis! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Curtis gets tackled into the cage by Savage. Savage maintains the clinch. Savage lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Savage unloads a knee to the mid-section. Curtis lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Savage wants to break the clinch but can't.
Curtis jumps guard but Savage stands there with Curtis around his waist. Curtis gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Sloppy strikes from Savage. Those never looked like landing. Savage throws a series of punches but Curtis avoids them all with ease. Savage is breathing heavily. Curtis circles away from the clinch attempt.
Savage tries to clinch but Curtis moves out of range. Savage tries to close the distance and clinch but Curtis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Savage tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Curtis shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Savage counters with a series of strikes. Curtis will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Savage is looking to clinch. Curtis swats away the attempt to clinch by Savage. Savage gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Curtis to score an easy takedown into full guard. Curtis is pushing down on Savage's leg trying to pass to half guard. Savage is fighting to maintain full guard but Curtis has managed to sneak the leg through. Savage on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Savage tries to get out of the position. Curtis is looking to advance position but Savage won't allow it. Curtis is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Curtis is taking a breather. Savage says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Ground and pound from Curtis. Curtis moves nicely into side control. Curtis scores with a couple of short elbows. Curtis is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Savage has escaped the position, nice work there. Check out the look on Curtis's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Curtis happy to just control the position for now. Savage tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Curtis throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Savage!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Curtis is punishing Savage with some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Curtis biding his time, looking for the opening.
Curtis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Curtis is punishing Savage with strikes - can he finish him?! Curtis lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Curtis lands a shot to the head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Curtis lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Savage.
I would not like to be Savage right now.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Curtis has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Savage is defending well but eventually Curtis manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Savage has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
