The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nielsen throws a push kick but Nunes slaps the foot to one side.
Nielsen tries to clinch but Nunes moves away
and Nunes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Nielsen tries to clinch up
and Nunes counters with a nice body shot.
Nielsen moves to clinch but Nunes breaks away
and Nunes counters with a left to the body.
Nielsen tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Nunes counters with a left and a right that stings Nielsen.
Nielsen shoots in for a takedown but Nunes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

letting Nunes counter with a right hand.
Nielsen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Nunes sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nielsen closes the distance but Nunes moves to the side
and Nunes counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Nielsen wants to clinch but Nunes slips to the side
enabling Nunes to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Mikkel Bukholt Nielsen has been cut.

Nunes lands a big uppercut and Nielsen crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Nielsen looks OK. Nunes waves Nielsen back to his feet!

Nielsen is rocked!

Nielsen takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Nielsen is still on wobbly legs! Can Nunes finish him?
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nunes connects with a body shot that sends Nielsen's belly button to the back.
Nunes jabs Nielsen to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Nielsen walks straight into a right hand from Nunes - that's dropped him! Nunes jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Nielsen from any more punishment! Nielsen complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
