Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eric Cabbat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Patty Green! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cabbat cracks Green with an open hand slap. Cabbat misses with a combination
so Green counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Cabbat has his foot on Green's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Green works his way back into a safe position though. Green avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Cabbat is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Green wants to control from the top but Cabbat keeps moving. Green might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cabbat kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Cabbat is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green trying to control but Cabbat is working from the bottom. Green really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cabbat. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Green working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Green must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Cabbat is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Green working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Cabbat's head. Cabbat is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Green defends well. Green working some strikes from top position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Cabbat looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Green trying to control but Cabbat is working from the bottom. Cabbat had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Green defends it easily. Cabbat escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Green gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cabbat avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cabbat escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Green gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Green working some strikes from top position. Green is posturing up here but Cabbat has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Green tries to roll out but it's too tight and Green has to tap! Slick submission there by Cabbat!
