The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bourque lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Bender throws a head kick but Bourque moves out of range.
Bourque checks a leg kick.
Bender just misses with a punch to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round but I would say that Paul Bourque will probably get the nod.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bender fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Bourque is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Bender throws a leg kick which misses Bourque's front leg but catches the back leg as Bourque tries to avoid it.
Bourque is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Good leg kick by Bender there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Bourque really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bourque rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Bender counters with a head kick that drops Bourque to the mat! Bourque scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Bourque is rocked!
Bender throws a pinpoint strike between Bourque's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Bourque crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Bender scores a great knockout victory!
