Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricoco Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Rhino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ricoco Martin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rob Rhino! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martin closes the distance looking to clinch and Rhino counters with a shoot takedown. Martin fights it but they end up in guard. Rhino with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Rhino working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Rhino won't allow Martin to sweep him here. Martin trying to control the position.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Martin holds on and takes a little breather. Martin is trying to control the position but Rhino postures up. Martin pulls Rhino in close to his closed guard and prevents Rhino from doing any damage or advancing position. Rhino must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Ricoco Martin just wasn't active enough. Martin lands a head kick. Rhino smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
That's one minute gone in the round. A punch combination from Martin misses. Rhino misses with a takedown attempt and Martin counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Rhino is looking to improve his position.

Rhino is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Martin jumps into side control! Martin working away. Martin looks up at the clock and then as Rhino takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Martin smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Rhino manages to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rhino trying to control but Martin postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rhino is staying active underneath Martin, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Rhino tries to roll over but Martin keeps him under control. Rhino has hold of Martin's hands but Martin slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Martin scoring with strikes to the body and head. Rhino really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Martin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Martin working the head and body with strikes. Ground and pound from Martin. Rhino is refusing to be controlled, as Martin sits in half guard. Rhino tries to roll over but Martin keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martin is thwarting Rhino's attempts to control the position. Martin is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rhino is just riding it out for now. Martin eventually gives up the hold. Rhino wants to get back to full guard. Martin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Rhino is pressing down on Martin's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Martin pushes down on Rhino's leg and manages to get into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rhino gets full guard. Martin wants to pass the guard but Rhino is keeping the position. Rhino is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Rhino keeping moving, preventing Martin from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ricoco Martin dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Rhino gets a double leg takedown into Martin's guard. Rhino wants to stand but Martin has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Rhino wants to control from the top but Martin keeps moving. Martin looking for a sweep. Not yet Martin, not yet. Rhino passes into half guard. Martin kicks Rhino off and gets back to his feet. Rhino moves into range and clinches up with Martin. Good body shot from Martin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martin manages to pull guard.
Rhino avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Rhino content to stall in guard here. Rhino wanted to stand there but Martin had control of the position. Rhino postures up in Martin's guard and throws a big left but Martin blocks it. Rhino looking to sit in guard and control but Martin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Martin wants to control from the top but Rhino keeps moving. Rhino looking to control.
Rhino pulls Martin in to control the position. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Rhino has his feet on Martin's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Martin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Martin wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rhino fails with the takedown and Martin counters with a stiff right hand. Rhino is breathing heavily. Martin wants to clinch and Rhino counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rhino. Rhino got a little sloppy there for a moment and Martin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rhino has managed to get both his arms back between Martin's legs - danger averted. Martin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rob Rhino has got the better of the ground game so far. Rhino thows a big elbow that misses. Martin tries to land a sweep but no joy. Rhino is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Martin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Martin is adopting a defensive guard. Rhino with a flurry of punches that miss. Rhino controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rob Rhino. Martin closes the distance but Rhino moves to the side and Rhino moves into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rob Rhino showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Rhino closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Rhino is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Rhino throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Martin has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Rhino avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Martin is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Rhino has picked Martin up - he's going for a ride! Rhino dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Rhino controlling the action here. Rhino seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Martin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Martin is trying to get back to full guard. Rhino wants to pass the guard but Martin is defending well. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rhino postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Martin to stand up. Martin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rhino counters with a shoot takedown. Martin fights it but they end up in guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ricoco Martin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rhino tries to stand but Martin is controlling from the bottom. Rhino wants to pass the guard but Martin is keeping the position. Martin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Rhino. Rhino sitting in guard, not really doing much. Martin keeping moving, preventing Rhino from controlling successfully.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Rob Rhino wasn't active enough on the ground. Rhino has Martin up against the cage in a clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rhino tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Martin just stands there and leans against the cage. Martin tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rhino smiles and moves away.
Rhino fails to land the takedown. Rhino closes the distance and pushes Martin back into the cage. Rhino jumps guard but Martin stands there with Rhino around his waist. Rhino gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Rhino has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Martin is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Rhino decides to pull guard. Martin trying to control but Rhino is working from the bottom. Martin engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rhino can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Rhino avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Martin with a poor takedown and Rhino counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Martin! Rhino lands a heavy elbow. Rhino controlling from the full mount. Martin tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that's the end of the fight! Rob Rhino comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Rhino has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
