Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tony Bova (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Green DragonBro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bova kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is I came to bring the pain!. Green DragonBro will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bova misses with a takedown attempt - DragonBro sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
DragonBro shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bova as he jumps to the side.
DragonBro fails to land with a series of punches.
No luck for DragonBro with that takedown attempt.
DragonBro tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bova sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten DragonBro somewhat.
Tony Bova has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Green DragonBro.

DragonBro connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bova's hands.
DragonBro comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
DragonBro will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Bova has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

DragonBro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bova. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if DragonBro can do anything to dispel that myth.
DragonBro wants to sweep here but Bova controlling him for the moment.

Bova winds up and cracks DragonBro with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Bova looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks DragonBro with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bova is nestled in close to DragonBro, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

DragonBro takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Bova's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
