Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, John Flare! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jim White! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White takes a swing at Flare's ribcage but misses. White leaves Flare with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Flare misses with a low kick as White jumps back. Flare shoots in but no luck this time. White misses with a double jab.
White throws a right and a left that both miss. White looks for the body kick but Flare saw that one coming. White misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Flare.

That's one minute gone in the round. White jabbing away but nothing is landing. White is looking to clinch. Flare shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. White manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. White tries to land a sweep but no joy. Flare pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Flare postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

White has escaped and now he's on top! White wants to control from the top but Flare keeps moving. Flare working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from White. White tries to stand but Flare is controlling from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Flare wants to sweep but no luck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Flare is breathing heavily. White would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Flare keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully. He's got his arms around White's waist but White gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Flare off to one side. White tries to close the distance and clinch but Flare swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. White falls off balance throwing a combination

This has been an exciting period of action! White is looking to escape. John Flare overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Flare prevents White from improving his position. Flare trying to pass the guard but White defending well.

Flare is looking to take a break and control but White is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. White tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Flare has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Flare working for a guillotine from mount but White is in no mood to give up. White tries to lock up and control but Flare gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

White really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Flare. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. That was a close second round but I would say that John Flare will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
White darts in and clinches Flare up against the cage. Flare jumps guard and drags White to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Flare is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! White rolls with it to try and escape but Flare cranks on the arm and White is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
