Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tom Sawyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Hester (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hester comes into a darkened arena with his song building. George Clinton-Atomic Dog kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Tom Sawyer has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tom Sawyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dave Hester! The judges for this bout are , and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab from Hester. Hester tries to clinch there but Sawyer circles away.
Hester tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Sawyer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hester's guard. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Sawyer's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Sawyer with a flurry of punches that miss. Hester keeping moving, preventing Sawyer from controlling successfully. Sawyer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hester swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sawyer in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Sawyer slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Sawyer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hester tries to bench press Sawyer off him but Sawyer keeps the position. Sawyer prevents Hester from escaping the position. Hester is letting Sawyer control him for a moment. Sawyer tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. The strikes coming from Sawyer are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Sawyer in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Hester tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Sawyer presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Sawyer postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hester looks a forlorn figure.
Sawyer fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Sawyer in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The referee warns Hester that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sawyer cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A big strike lands for Sawyer! That's really hurt Hester and he's turned his back - Sawyer keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Sawyer jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tom Sawyer!
