The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sariahmed tries to clinch up but Jackson circles away and keeps his distance.

Sariahmed shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jackson eats them both and turns towards Sariahmed to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

That was a close round but I would say that Monroe Jackson will probably get the nod.

Jackson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Jackson feints and as Sariahmed raises his hands in defense, Jackson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sariahmed really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jackson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Jackson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Jackson decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sariahmed to his feet.

Jackson cracks Sariahmed with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Sariahmed takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Jackson working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Sariahmed turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Jackson off and cradles Sariahmed's limp body as Jackson celebrates with his corner.
