Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray Monsoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rigan Machado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rigan Machado has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ray Monsoon's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ray Monsoon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rigan Machado !
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Machado closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Monsoon to the mat! Monsoon manages to get full guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Machado has his foot on Monsoon's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Monsoon works his way back into a safe position though.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Rigan Machado was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Monsoon rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Machado moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Monsoon manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Machado on his heels. He'll look to pass Machado 's guard now, I'm sure.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Monsoon accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Machado is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Monsoon is controlling him.

Machado working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Monsoon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Monsoon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Machado has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Monsoon is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Machado yanks on the arm and Monsoon is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Machado .
