Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mac Steller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Arone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steller looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Steller looking to score a takedown here. Arone is defending well but Steller drives through and ends up in Arone's guard.
Arone working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Steller doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Steller manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Steller sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Arone's guard.

Steller shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Arone but Arone pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Arone moves in looking to clinch but Steller pushes him off.

Arone tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Steller will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Steller has hold of Arone's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Arone manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Steller feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Arone is on top in guard.

Steller cracks Arone with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Steller jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Arone is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Arone and Steller has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Arone takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
