Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Bloggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Triston Baal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Bloggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Triston Baal!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baal misses with a left hand

and Bloggs counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Bloggs trying to control the position from guard on top but Baal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bloggs loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Bloggs preventing the sweep.
Bloggs looking to pass the guard.
Baal is trying to keep Bloggs in close.

Bloggs is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Baal is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Baal has escaped and now he's on top!
Bloggs wants to sweep here but Baal controlling him for the moment.
Baal wants to control from the top but Bloggs keeps moving.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Baal postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Baal throws a right hand that misses

and Bloggs counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Baal!
Baal is wriggling around trying to escape.
Bloggs takes Baal's back.

Even with his hooks in, Bloggs manages to miss with strikes from the back.

Bloggs looking for the RNC.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bloggs has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
Baal is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Bloggs off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bloggs doesn't have the hooks in and Baal manages to turn into his guard.

Bloggs looking to control.
Baal content to stall in guard here.
Baal tries to free his leg and advance position but Bloggs is retaining full guard.
Bloggs throwing rabbit punches from the bottom - showing the judges that he's keeping busy.
Baal throwing strikes from guard but Bloggs blocks nicely.
Baal wants to stand but Bloggs is controlling his posture from full guard.
Bloggs is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Bloggs is looking for a triangle here but Baal uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bloggs tries to buck Baal off but Baal is having none of it.
Bloggs struggling a bit here.
Bloggs gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Baal is looking to take a break and control but Bloggs is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bloggs manages to get to full guard.
Bloggs not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Baal trying to control the position from guard on top but Bloggs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe Bloggs dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Bloggs shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Bloggs gets caught napping as Baal dives in and scores a takedown. Bloggs manages to retain guard.
Baal looking to sit in guard and control but Bloggs gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Baal is working an open guard so Bloggs takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Bloggs misses with a takedown attempt
and Baal counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Bloggs doesn't manage to clinch there - Baal circles away.
Bloggs throws a right and a left that Baal avoids nicely.

Baal shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The fighters are battling for position here. Bloggs manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Baal missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Baal postures up.

Bloggs wants to stand and escape but Baal is having none of it.

Bloggs looking for a guillotine here but Baal defends easily.

Bloggs bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Baal's guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Bloggs is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Baal is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Baal has escaped and now he's on top!
Baal wants to pass the guard but Bloggs is keeping the position.

Bloggs pushes Baal off and scrambles back to his feet.
A telegraphed right hand from Baal misses the target.
Baal throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bloggs counters with a three punch combo that has Baal backing up. Baal nods at Bloggs to acknowledge the strikes.
Bloggs doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Baal counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Bloggs. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bloggs looking to hit a scissor sweep but Baal is one step ahead there.
Baal throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bloggs works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Baal loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Baal scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Bloggs is looking to stand up but Baal isn't so interested in that idea.

Bloggs isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Baal stacks Bloggs on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Baal!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Baal blocks the strikes from Bloggs.
Bloggs takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Check out the look on Baal's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Baal avoids the strikes from the bottom by Bloggs.
Bloggs is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Baal scoring with punches and elbows.
Baal throwing strikes but missing, from side control.

Baal has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Baal throws a jab but it's blocked by Bloggs.
Baal throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bloggs shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Baal misses with a hook.
Bloggs has a takedown stuffed.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Triston Baal showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Bloggs on the wrong end of a nice jab.

and Bloggs counters with a nice double leg into side control. Baal won't be happy with that.
Baal parries the strikes from Bloggs easily there. Bloggs is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Baal to escape.
Baal is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Bloggs is keen to just control but Baal is a slippery customer.

Bloggs is looking for submissions but instead, Baal has regained full guard.
Baal working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bloggs.

Bloggs is in close to Baal's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Bloggs trying to control the position from guard on top but Baal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bloggs pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Baal is keeping the position for now.

Bloggs drops back, looking for a kneebar! Baal looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Baal looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Baal!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bloggs is looking to reverse the position.
Bloggs prevents Baal from moving into mount.
Baal tries to score with some ground and pound. Bloggs controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Baal working away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Baal tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Baal has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Baal tries to advance to mount but Bloggs instead regains half guard.
Baal trying to control the action but Bloggs is working from the bottom.
Baal looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Bloggs keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Bloggs gets full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Baal scoring with punches to the head and body.
Baal throws a strike but Bloggs rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Baal looking for a sweep. Not yet Baal, not yet.

Bloggs decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Baal, up you get!

Bloggs looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Bloggs tries to stand but Baal is controlling from the bottom.
Baal lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bloggs!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Baal trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Baal sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Bloggs is looking to improve his position but Baal isn't that keen on the idea.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Baal cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Bloggs wants to hold on but Baal pushes him away.
Baal cracks Bloggs with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Baal postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bloggs looks a forlorn figure.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Baal looking to finish Bloggs with some ground and pound. This is bad for Bloggs!
Bloggs sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Baal wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bloggs keeps working.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Triston Baal.
I think Baal has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
