Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimi Patrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack El Capitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Patrick comes to the cage accompanied by Dropkick Murphys - I'm Shipping Up to Boston. Jack El Capitan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patrick misses with a two punch combination.
El Capitan thows a body shot but no joy.
Patrick gets caught flat footed, as El Capitan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
El Capitan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Patrick utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
El Capitan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

El Capitan keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Patrick's head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Patrick controls El Capitan momentarily but El Capitan frees himself.

Patrick wants to get back to his feet but El Capitan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

El Capitan passes Patrick's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
El Capitan thows a huge punch but Patrick dodges it nicely.
El Capitan looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Patrick looks like he's trying to stand up.
Patrick is breathing heavily.
El Capitan lands with a punch from half guard.

El Capitan is nestled in close to Patrick, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
El Capitan not landing any meaningful shots this time.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. El Capitan connects with a nice short shot to Patrick's temple.

Patrick has hold of El Capitan's hands but El Capitan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

El Capitan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Patrick. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
El Capitan is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Patrick!

El Capitan loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Patrick scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from El Capitan land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. El Capitan stands and salutes the crowd.
