Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlito Montoya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniele Vantaggiato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Montoya's entrance music is call to prayer. A fine choice. Carlito Montoya could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Daniele Vantaggiato's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlito Montoya! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Daniele Vantaggiato! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vantaggiato fails with a takedown attempt. Montoya swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
so Vantaggiato counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Montoya wants to stand up but Vantaggiato is controlling him. Vantaggiato trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Vantaggiato is looking to work some ground and pound but Montoya has wrist control. Vantaggiato working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Vantaggiato wants to control from the top but Montoya keeps moving. Vantaggiato has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Montoya preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Vantaggiato scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Vantaggiato wants to control from the top but Montoya keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vantaggiato controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Montoya keeping moving, preventing Vantaggiato from controlling successfully. Vantaggiato throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Montoya works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vantaggiato thows a big elbow that misses. Vantaggiato throws a strike but Montoya rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Montoya stopping the sweep attempt from Vantaggiato.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Montoya got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vantaggiato has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Montoya has managed to get both his arms back between Vantaggiato's legs - danger averted. Vantaggiato is trying to control the position but Montoya postures up. Vantaggiato has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Montoya should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Vantaggiato has tightened it up now! Montoya should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
