0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zeek Hayward! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bradley shoots for a double leg takedown but Hayward sprawls well. He's pushed Bradley's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Hayward throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bradley is defended easily by Hayward. Bradley shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bradley showed some decent athleticism there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Bradley seems to be working for a kimura but Hayward defends the submission attempt. Bradley with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Bradley moves nicely into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Bradley remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Bradley is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Hayward is trying to escape and Bradley transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hayward is forced to tap! Nice work there by Bradley! Very nice indeed!
