Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Larry Burns! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Kalishevski! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Valeri Chadov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kalishevski throws a sloppy head kick and Kalishevski takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Kalishevski throws a sloppy head kick and Burns counters with a straight right hand. Burns avoids the head kick by Kalishevski.
Kalishevski swings away with a body shot that misses
and Burns counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Burns takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Burns scores with a shot to the body.
Burns shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Burns was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Burns looking to control but Kalishevski is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Kalishevski wants to try and get back to his feet. Burns throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Kalishevski's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burns takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Burns working Kalishevski over with strikes here. Kalishevski trying desperately to get to his feet.
Kalishevski takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Kalishevski wants to get back to his feet.
Burns landing punches. Kalishevski manages to regain half guard whilst avoiding the strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Burns stalling. Kalishevski avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Burns. Burns is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Burns is looking to advance position but Kalishevski won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kalishevski pushes Burns off looking to stand but Burns dives back in and keeps control.
Burns stalling away here and it's allowed Kalishevski to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Burns working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Burns won't allow Kalishevski to get back to his feet. Kalishevski can't keep his opponent in guard - Burns advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Kalishevski is trying to stand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Burns seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kalishevski does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Burns uses his free foot to push down on Kalishevski's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Kalishevski. Burns tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Burns can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kalishevski is looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Larry Burns dominated that round. That's time! Burns's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Burns lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kalishevski circles away quickly and effectively. Kalishevski throws a head kick that misses and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Ivan Kalishevski is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kalishevski uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Burns.

Burns scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kalishevski in his tracks. Kalishevski connects with a high kick. Kalishevski tries to clinch but Burns is having none of it. Burns stuns Kalishevski with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Burns cracks Kalishevski with a good jab. Kalishevski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kalishevski darts in trying to clinch and Burns counters with a low kick, right behind Kalishevski 's knee. Kalishevski throws a head kick but Burns moves out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Burns bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kalishevski's head. Kalishevski is breathing heavily. Burns scores with a hook to the body. Kalishevski takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Kalishevski takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Burns lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Burns swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kalishevski. Burns lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kalishevski at a distance.
Burns fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kalishevski. Kalishevski takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Burns shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kalishevski eats them both and turns towards Burns to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. A lazy left from Burns finds it's target. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kalishevski takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Burns lands a jab to the head.

Kalishevski takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Burns lands a glancing blow to the side of Kalishevski's head.
Kalishevski is rocked! Burns closes the distance and lands a one-two. Kalishevski is still on wobbly legs! Can Burns finish him? Burns lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Kalishevski falls backwards - clearly groggy! Burns dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Larry Burns!
